Australia Post had not reviewed its employee communication channels and tactics for over five years. With the upcoming launch and rollout of a new internal comms platform, Viva Engage, Bunch partnered with Australia Post to conduct an enterprise-wide internal communications audit to benchmark and baseline current practices. ​

We were tasked with conducting discovery workshops with all areas of the business—LPOs, posties, delivery drivers, mail room, and corporate team members—to gain insight into how current communication was working and what barriers existed.

Australia Post had not reviewed its employee communication channels and tactics for over five years. With the upcoming launch and rollout of a new internal comms platform, Viva Engage, Bunch partnered with Australia Post to conduct an enterprise-wide internal communications audit to benchmark and baseline current practices. ​

We were tasked with conducting discovery workshops with all areas of the business—LPOs, posties, delivery drivers, mail room, and corporate team members—to gain insight into how current communication was working and what barriers existed.

We delivered:

  • 27 targeted discovery sessions with a cross-section of employees from all departments.

  • An enterprise-wide quantitative internal comms survey, which was completed by 3,982 employees.

  • A comprehensive Insights and Implications Report based on workshop and survey analysis to inform our recommendations.

  • Facilitated leadership and stakeholder alignment sessions to bring key players on the journey.

  • A refreshed tone of voice recommendation for written employee communication.

  • 44 recommended actions across four primary focus areas to uplift the internal communications ecosystem at Australia Post.

As a result of partnering with Bunch to conduct this internal communications audit, the enterprise communications team at Australia Post was able to consolidate and refine existing channels (including ‘switching off’ at least two), priming them for a successful launch and roll out of the new internal comms platform.
