ABB’s existing program to achieve operational efficiency — called ‘RISE’— was not achieving the desired cut through with employees or results for the business.

ABB called on Bunch to re-imagine how the program could be positioned, create compelling calls to action and a visual identity to breathe new life into the program and energise employees.

We were challenged to develop messaging and designs that would appeal to a diverse audience with different levels of English proficiency, as ABB’s employees exist across Europe, Asia, North/South America and Australia. This required investment to understand the impact of the change and the best ways to reach employees working in different roles and locations.

Our ideation began with a new creative territory to give employees a reason to believe. ‘The Red Thread’ — was used a visual tool to convey the connectivity experienced across all teams, regardless of location. The symbolism of this was used to communicate the desired behaviours. The red thread was never stagnate, it continuously flowed enveloping everyone
