A recent arrival to the CUB stable, Swedish cider brand Kopparberg wanted to use the prestigious Portsea Polo as a key part of its Australian launch and showcase its unique Swedish heritage and quirky personality.
Faced with competition at the polo from much bigger brands enjoying much bigger budgets, we wanted to do something that would truly stand out. Borrowing cost-effective techniques from the world of theatre sets, we decided to take the audience right into the heart of Kopparberg – its beautiful town square – where the townspeople come together to celebrate, party, mark holidays and special occasions and where they invite visitors to join them.
Fun, stylish, colourful and by far the most visible marquee at the polo, the Kopparberg Polo Lounge was a huge success with guests, featured heavily in media coverage of the day and has since been shared by Kopparberg as a best practise case study with other markets worldwide.
